Warrior

A silver warrior faceless in a film of grey dust

Soundless in haunting wind

and crowds that murmur like crashing sea

Weaponless against soldiers with metallic hearts

Brocken in scarlet war

Fearless words blurred in thousands of swirling charcoal storms

A small girl trapped in the shadows of history

Alone against billions that punctures her words and leaves them to bleed

  1. I wrote something two days ago, about planning on working on a second part soon to an old poem I wrote, titled “Jubilee of Mires & Mists”, when I reblogged the poem in this post http://fergusandthedruid.wordpress.com/2013/12/12/shining-some-light-on-the-secrets-of-jubilee-of-mires-and-mists-combinatorial-creativity-2/

And today, before reading your poem, I remembered randomly that I had written a haiku that was related to the Jubilee of Mires & Mists in October, and I reblogged it in this post -http://fergusandthedruid.wordpress.com/2013/12/14/new-haiku-princess-lily-ascends-the-throne-at-jubilee-queen-of-mires-mists-2/

It was written before I met you on wordpress (I think we met on here in November), and before I wrote about recently finding out that one of my nicknames in Japanese, Ren, means “Water Lily”… so don’t get weirded out, none of this was on purpose or planned with you in mind! lol

I’ll copy/paste the haiku into this comment below, so you’ll see the cool coincidence of all this more easily. It seems like it would go great as an inspiration for a sequel to your poem, so feel free to write however you wish with whatever direction you may be inspired! Interesting timing surrounds my life like this every day, it’s pretty cool! Your poem is pretty cool too, by the way 🙂
